Abstract

The Příhrazy plateau has typical double-layered structure where rigid sandstone beds overlie relatively more plastic marlstone beds. Such structure facilitates a long-term development of several types of slope deformations. The aim of the work was to register the slope deformations, that occur on the lower parts of slopes below the rim of sandstone in the form of landslides and plastic deformations, as well as their analysis, especially regarding their activity and potential endangering of the municipality of Příhrazy. The work also contributes to the elucidation of the extensive occurrence of pseudokarst forms, which are situated on the upland parts of the plateau, and their connection with block movements. The fissure system also plays an important role in the process of breaking up of the border parts of the plateau.
