New internet database of decorative and building stones of the Czech Republic

Abstract

In 2003 the "Internet database of decorative and building stone" was created as a project of the Czech Geological Survey. This database includes basic information on rocks employed as a decorative stone in the Czech Republic. Last year the database was upgraded and translated to English. According to users remarks and topics, searching of information about rock types, localities and rock utilization was simplified and the design of the database was changed too.
