Abstract
Biostratigraphy of the autochthonous Paleogene sedimentary fill of the Nesvačilka Canyon in the southeastern part of Brno was revised based on study of foraminifera from archive samples from the Staré Černovice Cf-Br-41 borehole. Dark grey sandy clays originally supposed to be the Oligocene are newly recognized as Lower Eocene and assigned to the Telnice Member of the Těšany Formation.
