Abstract
Quaternary deposits cover the surface of the area in rather small extension. Fluvial, aeolian, colluvial and wash sediments are present. From the stratigraphical point of view fluvial terraces of the Vltava River are significant; the highest one is of Pliocene to Lower Pleistocene age, the other two relics of Middle Pleistocene.
