Abstract

Cretaceous sediments in the area of the map sheet 13-113 Sojovice belong to Jizera Development of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. They are in part covered by Quaternary fluviatile deposits of Jizera and Labe rivers. The Cretaceous sequence consists of the Peruc Member, Korycany Member, Bílá hora Formation, Jizera Formation, Teplice Formation and the Rohatce Member. The thickness of the sequence is about 280 metres. No tectonic disturbances of the Cretaceous sediments have been located during actual geological mapping.
