Abstract

The study focuses on weathering forms of the solid bedrock in the near surrounding of the Ústí nad Labem city. During the geomorphologic mapping, variety of forms including rockmantled slopes (scree slopes, boulder fields, boulder streams) and solid rock landforms (diverse types of rock cliffs, rock pillars, rock needles, pseudo-cavern, rock ridges, etc.) have been distinguished and analyzed. The presence of these forms, previously not fully recognized in the territory, and their structural and geomorphic character give information about the Quaternary development of the area including the incision of the Labe River and its tributaries as well as about the recent environmental change of the area.
